This isn’t the exact image I saw before, but the concept is the same. On the other one the sides of the ‘overlay’ (or 3D overlay mesh) were straight rather than curved.
In contrast, there’s this image, which shows a tiny little rendition of the HUD down in the bottom of the glass. I don’t know if perspective actually makes that the right shape and position, but I’m willing to believe it does because it’s exactly what I want to be true. 😉
I’ve bookmarked this thread but I don’t want to just jump in and give wrong answers, so next time I’m debugging something that includes a character I’ll try to remember to take a look. Right now I don’t know for sure whether we swap meshes for the interior or not, though I thought we didn’t.
