Speaking of bustling effect, @YogiKlatt-CIG is there anything in the pipe to fix the voice comms noise/break ups (like if it was a low quality transmission, with a noticeable latency). Are we going to have a dual channel when we can hear the radio sound and people close to the emitter hear the normal voice ?
The backend on VOIP is not finished, there is still ongoing work to have less latency and break ups. Figuring out all details of that is not easy, but it is steadily improved.
From my understanding you can already hear voice from both the proximity and comm channel from the same person at the same time. But a mixing trick will only make one of the two audible … otherwise we’d get some weird artifacts like phasing effects.
