since the first iteration of 3.10 PTU the above mentioned guns are totally broken.
i dont know what you have done, but if this guns go live into the PU in their actual state
all combat will go downhill, instead getting better.
the numbers of this gun do not suggest, that there is a problem, but when actually using them
(or getting shot by them) you will see, that the damage they do, is totally broken. the shields of my vanguard warden
just got downed in 4-5 shots of a sabre with this guns!
not only that……these guns deal an immense amount of damage to hull also now!
it seems they deal 10 times the intended damage by the area of effect of this guns.
this guns were already very potent against shields in 3.9, but this is actually ridiculous. downing 50k shields in 5 shots?
and you cannot evade them
instead fixing this gamebreaking gun, you instead nerf the good positioned sledges mass drivers.
this is utterly frustrating
if this does not get fixed, we will see hordes of players buy a defender at Area18 and equip the guns on all their ships…….because go with the meta, or get fked. hell…..they even kill caterpillars in seconds!

i did some additional testing.
the less the desync issues are, the stronger the weapon becomes. as AI combat is VERY prone to desync issues atm, the singes appear to be in nearly the same spot as in 3.9. but against other players it clearly overperforms GREATLY as inm PVP the desnyc became better.
fact is, in the actual state this gun is toxic for future PVP combat
we are aware of the problems surrounding the Singes and we are still investigating what is causing it (it is a code problem, not a balancing issue). The next PTU build should fix the issue with wrong shield faces being affected. But we’re still looking into why they do so much more damage than before.
