For the past 3 sessions in the last 5 days I tried to play, I got almost constant crash from the game.
It’s not 30K error, but crash that ignite a report being submit by the launcher, with a red message asking me if I wanna relaunch the game.
Most of the time I’m able to reconnect to the same session, but getting out of Levski or grim hex has been a real pain.
Oddly this was not the case in my first 3.8 sessions.
Did you observe a significant raise of the number of crash in your session?
It seems to me that it could be linked to my only 16GB and the virtual memory.
As I wanted to get some space on my 105 GB SSD, I once turned virtual mem to 0 via Win10 settings, and after realising that would crash SC constantly, I turned it back to automatic size.
Would you recommend a specific setting for this?
Thanks guys for yours feedback.
Overall, this is one of the most stable patches in terms of client crashes. However, there is always the possibility of there being system specific compatibility issues, resource, conflicts, tech support problems, etc. Posting on our tech support forms can make it easier to help with issues like this because players there are accustomed to helping investigate issues like this. It also allows CIG to identify which account is submitting crash reports which in turn, allows us to see which crash it’s running into in the event that the tech support solutions don’t work.
From a statstical point of view, the number one client crash is related to GPU issues which can be caused by outdated graphics card drivers.
